Christmas Mantel

Christmas Mantel

I took a minute out of my drawer building madness to hang something on the wall above the fireplace.  I tried a few different shapes but circles and rectangles got in the way of the antlers on that tattered iron deer.  I found this star (that I bought years ago for my IL basement and never hung) out in the garage and tried it.

It’s perfect and I didn’t even have to paint it!  Love it when things work out just right without a lot of fiddle-factor.

Goodness knows there’s enough fiddle-factor going on in other areas of the house.

As in my Master Closet that is taking me a lifetime to build!  Speaking of which, I’d much rather be Christmas caroling or shopping, or baking cookies or doing something festive like that.  But, I keep thinking that if I can just finish the last few things in there, it’s going to be the MOST AMAZING CHRISTMAS GIFT I could ever give myself (and Wes, of course)!

So I’ll keep plugging away!  Wishing you all holiday cheer and hoping you are making progress on your own projects.  17 Days!

p.s.  Don’t forget to enter to win a 18V Lithium Porter-Cable Drill/Driver.  You’ll thank me later!

Linking up to the Christmas Mantel Parties over at Southern Hospitality and Ten June.

Thanks Brandy. Christmas decorating shouldn’t involve fiddle factor, I say. Except untangling the lights. That’s a tradition I’d be sad to let go of.
