It’s kind of exciting…
…to see pictures of something you dreamed up and created in a magazine! WHAT?
Yep, that’s my Picture Frame Collage Wall there on page 140 of Small Room Decorating, Spring 2012.
I had been contacted about using those photos for a different magazine and was expecting to see them in Decorating Shortcuts later in the Spring but had no idea they were in Small Room Decorating. What a fun surprise!
That’s all. No painting tip, installation video or even a progress report today, just tooting my horn for a minute… Because I’ve never had my design/creation/house in a magazine before and it’s kind of weird and fun all rolled up into a jumble of excitement and nervousness (for some odd reason) and I had to share.

I am so glad you shared the page here since I have been looking for the issue since you first mentioned it and I haven’t found it yet. Kinda reminds me of the time when I was contacted by the city newspaper to do an article on me about my use of midwives during pregnancy. They didn’t tell me when it would be published – when I did find out, it was the day after the paper came out and I had to hunt down copies. Thankfully the local gas station still had the old papers and I got a bunch for free to keep as keepsakes. Gave me all the same feelings, just on a smaller scale. After all, it was only a newspaper for a city of 700,000 instead of a national magazine! Kudos to you!
