Floors:

Where did you buy your flooring?  What kind of wood is it?  What brand/color is it?

All of my wood floors are from BuildDirect.  They are located in Canada but even with shipping, I was able to get the floors I wanted for less than what the local flooring company would have charged.

The main part of the house is:  Burlington  hand scraped hardwood  Classics Collection – Dark Maple.

The basement is Eurafloor 8 mm Laminate  Maple Shiraz – 3 1/4″ wide planks.

This is a perfect example of why you want to order lots of samples before you purchase flooring.

In the pictures, these floors look totally different.

In the house, the laminate actually looks more similar in color to the hardwood in the rest of the house.

Not an exact match, but it’s similar enough that the transition between the two on the stairs isn’t drastic.

Paint colors:

 

Kitchen yellow:  Summer Harvest-Benjamin Moore {mixed at Sherwin Williams}

Entry and hallway:  (Lowe’s) Laura Ashley’s Pale Sand 1 {Mixed at Sherwin Williams}

 

CABINETS:  Pro Classic satin from Sherwin Williams  Snowball White  {I’m not sure if it is their color of someone else’s so here is the formula just in case.}

Craft Room Island color is: ???  It is a custom mix and it took 2 tries to get it so I have no idea if you will end up with the same color as what I have.  This is what is on my can.

* Most paint stores can whip up colors from other store’s color fan.  Sherwin Williams is close to my home and I like their paint so I usually get all my paint from them, even if it’s not their color.

 

Trim, doors and moulding:

Yes, I painted EVERYTHING white!  Bonding primer first, then paint.

 

Picture Frame collage wall: I bought some of the samples of Behr premium Plus Ultra paint.  (Primer and paint in one.)I just did one coat and the sample paint was plenty to cover all my frames!

 

The colors I used were:

 

Dragonfly, Cathedral Gray, Graceful Gray, Dark Pewter,  Oregano Spice.  (I made a sixth color by mixing some of the Dark Pewter and Graceful Gray.)

 

Where did you get your Dining Room light?
